Welcome!

This is Justin Derby, the creator of this new blog!  In Truth: The Objective Reality, we will be looking at a lot of the big issues and topics in life, such as Moral Relativism, Objective Morality, Abortion, Homosexuality, Mormonism, Catholicism, Atheism, and other topics.  After these topics are introduced, they will be analyzed in accordance with a biblical world view.

Along with the written posts, there will also be videos dealing with the topics.  Some videos will be just me talking, some may be pastors talking about the subject, and with some topics, you may get the privilege of their advocates speaking on camera.

As some of you read these blog posts, you may get offended by what the bible has to say about those topics.  Some of you may wonder why I'm preaching such a narrow-minded, bigoted world view that has no place in our enlightened, evolved postmodern society.  Some of you may say that I'm being judgmental and putting myself over other people.

As a born-again follower of Jesus Christ with whom I have a personal relationship, I have no choice but to proclaim the truth, and Jesus Christ was Truth Incarnate; I must proclaim his teachings and commands.  This is what Jesus himself and the apostle Paul had to say about the matter:

Matthew 28: 18-20:  Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.  Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Romans 10: 11-15:  As Scripture says, “Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame.”  For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile—the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”  How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?  And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”

Now that the introductions have been made, I shall begin working on the first topic of the blog, which shall be about the way that our postmodern society praises people who appear religious, but are in reality only half-way committed to their religion.  Stay tuned!
